CALIBER Magazine

Editorial Standards

CALIBER Magazine exists to give readers accurate, independent, and useful journalism. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

Sourcing

Our reporting is built on primary sources: interviews with named experts and practitioners, published research, company filings, official data, and first-hand documentation. Where our reporting draws on the work of others, we link to the original source so readers can verify it themselves.

We prefer on-the-record, named sources. Claims that are contested or consequential are checked against at least two independent sources before publication. When we cite studies, we link to the study itself, not just coverage of it, and we note relevant limitations.

We clearly distinguish news reporting from analysis and opinion. Every article carries a byline linking to the author's profile, where readers can see their background, credentials, and areas of expertise.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we say so. Material errors of fact are corrected promptly, and the correction is noted on the article itself. Articles that are substantively updated after publication carry an updated timestamp.

Minor fixes that do not change the meaning of a story, such as typos, formatting, or broken links, are made without a correction note.

If you believe we have published something inaccurate, please contact the editorial team. We review every report and respond to substantiated concerns.

How We Use AI

The journalism on CALIBER Magazine is written, edited, and fact-checked by people. We do not publish AI-generated articles.

We do use AI for two clearly labelled supplementary features: the key-point summaries that appear at the top of some articles, and the text-to-speech audio versions of articles. Both are generated from the finished, human-written article and reviewed before publication.

Our journalists may use AI tools as an aid for research or transcription. Anything that informs a published story is verified against original sources by the writer and editor, and responsibility for accuracy always rests with our editorial team.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made by our editors, not by advertisers or commercial partners. Sponsored or affiliate content, where it appears, is disclosed and marked as such, and it never influences our reporting.
